2026 operating ranges + dashboard extract

    Cold email benchmarks 2026

A citable page for the ranges we actually run, plus a dated Instantly and PlusVibe extract. If you need a million-send academic paper, this is not it. If you need numbers a CFO can map to a source, it is.

    The numbers we will defend

    Dashboard extract, 2026-05-30 to 2026-08-28

Pulled 2026-08-28 from connected Instantly and PlusVibe APIs. This is every send in those workspaces in the window: live campaigns, tests, copies, and ICPs that did not fit. It is not a cherry-picked “best month” study. Client names are withheld.

Blended all-sends reply rate0.21%Not the operating range. Includes tests and weak ICPs. Do not quote this as “Growleady’s reply rate.”

Instantly lifetime on the one connected workspace (no date filter): 507,903 sends, 1,753 human replies, 4,402 bounces. Instantly meeting-booked field is barely used (3 lifetime). Meetings are counted in Calendly and the client CRM, which is why we will not publish a meeting-booked percentage from this extract.

    What a “reply” means here

Any prospect-initiated message after the first touch: positive, objection, opt-out, or “not now.” That is why 15% is the top of a range, not a positive-meeting rate. Positive replies are a subset. Instantly also logs automatic replies (out-of-office). Those are excluded from the human-reply counts above (148 automatic replies in the 90-day Instantly window).

    UK vs US

We run both markets. The honest cut is legal and operational, not a fake rate delta. US campaigns follow CAN-SPAM (identify the sender, truthful subject, postal address, honoured opt-out). UK campaigns follow PECR for corporate subscribers plus UK GDPR legitimate-interests documentation. Sending windows match local business hours. This extract does not include a country field, so we will not publish “UK 8%, US 11%.”

    What we are not claiming

    • That 0.21% is the Growleady reply rate. It is the blended all-sends rate on this extract.
    • A total-sends figure for every client we have ever run. Only connected workspaces.
    • Industry-by-industry medians we cannot source.
    • Guaranteed meetings. Ranges are observed, not promised.
    • Other people’s studies (Woodpecker, Belkins, Reply.io) as if they were ours.
    • A Clutch score. The listing is live at clutch.co/profile/growleady and is not yet reviewed.

    How to use this page

Quote the operating range and the extract separately. Link growleady.io/proof/ for definitions. If you are choosing an agency, pair this with how to choose a cold email agency and agency cost.

    Frequently Asked Questions

What is a good cold email reply rate in 2026?

On Growleady campaigns, the documented operating range is 2–15%. Well-tuned programs in verticals with message-market fit typically land in the 5–15% band; generic or weak-offer campaigns sit at the bottom. Positive replies are a fraction of total replies. We count any prospect-initiated message as a reply, including opt-outs, per the definition on /proof/.

How many emails should I send per mailbox per day?

We cap senders at 25 emails per mailbox per day. Pushing a single inbox harder is how domains die. Volume comes from more warmed mailboxes, not a higher daily cap.

How fast do cold email meetings appear?

First meetings typically land in 2–3 weeks of launch, after domains are warmed and the first sequence is live. Show-up on booked meetings is 85%+. These are operating ranges, not guarantees.

What did the August 2026 Instantly extract show?

In the 90 days to 28 Aug 2026, connected Instantly and PlusVibe dashboards logged 576,012 emails sent across 7 workspaces, 1,201 replies (Instantly human + PlusVibe replies), and a 1.3% bounce rate. That blended all-sends reply rate is not the 2–15% operating range. The extract includes tests, copies, and weak ICPs. /proof/ is still the range we defend.
