What Is lemlist?
lemlist is a multichannel outreach platform that combines cold email with LinkedIn steps and calls in a single sequence. Founded in Paris in 2018 by Guillaume Moubeche, it made its name on personalization - dynamic images, custom landing pages, and liquid-syntax text that adapts per prospect - and on lemwarm, one of the first commercial email warmup services. The current product spans a 650M+ contact database with pay-per-success email and phone enrichment, sequence building across channels, a Chrome extension for LinkedIn prospecting, and reporting built for sales teams. Its market position differs from Instantly and Smartlead: rather than competing on unlimited mailboxes and raw send volume, lemlist targets SDR teams running lower-volume, higher-touch outbound where a prospect might get an email, then a LinkedIn visit, then a call. Pricing reflects that - the multichannel plan is per-seat, priced like a sales tool rather than sending infrastructure.
Pros
- True multichannel sequences - email, LinkedIn invites/messages/visits, and call tasks in one flow, with conditional steps
- Personalization depth is still the best in the category: dynamic images, personalized landing pages, and liquid syntax that most rivals only partially copy
- The Email plan includes unlimited users and unlimited sending accounts, which is unusually generous for team accounts
- Built-in 650M+ lead database with waterfall enrichment, billed per successful find rather than per lookup
- lemwarm is a mature warmup product with sensible ramp-up defaults
- Polished UI and onboarding - the easiest of the major platforms to get a first campaign live in
Cons
- The Multichannel plan is per-user ($109/month each, monthly billing), so a five-seat SDR team costs more than an unlimited-volume Instantly or Smartlead subscription
- The Email plan caps at 50,000 emails/month - fine for SDR teams, restrictive for agencies running volume across many clients
- LinkedIn automation carries inherent account-restriction risk; lemlist manages limits sensibly but cannot eliminate it
- Weaker fit for multi-client agency operations - workspace and white-label tooling lags Smartlead and QuickMail
lemlist Pricing
As of July 2026, lemlist has two main plans plus Enterprise. Email: $69/month billed monthly or $55/month billed yearly, with unlimited users, unlimited sending accounts, and 50,000 emails/month. Multichannel: $109/user/month billed monthly or $87/user/month billed yearly, with unlimited emails and messages plus LinkedIn and calling steps. Enterprise is custom-priced. Email and phone-number finding is pay-per-success via rechargeable credits (1 credit = $0.01; roughly $10 per 200 emails or 50 phone numbers found). Both plans carry a 14-day free trial. Quarterly billing saves 10%, yearly 20%.
Our Verdict
We reach for lemlist when the play is multichannel and personal rather than volume: tight lists, LinkedIn touches between emails, dynamic images that actually get commented on in replies. For that motion it is the best tool here. It is the wrong tool for agency-scale sending - per-seat multichannel pricing and the 50,000-email cap make the economics poor next to Instantly or Smartlead, and its agency tooling is thinner. Pick it for quality of touch, not quantity of sends.
Best for: SDR teams running personalized, lower-volume outbound across email and LinkedIn together, where reply quality matters more than send volume.
